If your shed will be near a garden or flower beds, make sure the runoff won’t pool around those areas.

Place the shed in a spot that is easy to reach and simple to use. Whether you need quick access to garden tools or plan to roll a mower in and out, a level entry area makes a big difference.

If the area near the shed entrance is too sloped, the ramp can become steep and hard to use. In that case, you might move the door to a different side where the ground is closer to level. This makes daily use safer and more convenient.
